Despite the huge number of submods and POD-systems that are presented in vape shops, many vapers are in no hurry to completely abandon the traditional box mods, tanks and drip sticks. Especially for them manufacturers regularly (not as often as sub-mods, of course) produce various interesting atomizers and box mods. But at the same time it is quite difficult to surprise experienced vapers with something because everything has already been invented and tested, so manufacturers have not just to invent but to really invent something new. And Hellvape company managed to make a really non-standard Dead Rabbit R Tank Tank that is quite different from the analogues by combining all the features of serviced and unattended atomizers.
General Info
Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank is a medium sized atomizer that uses an innovative system of serviced vaporizers on the grid, with bottom blowing for maximum flavor and bulk. The new tank is made in the corporate style with the traditional rabbit logo and the familiar ligature on the top cap and base of the atomizer. Its main feature is that it does not use classic spirals or vaporizers, as it has a built-in vaporizer, which can be serviced by the grid with two contact legs and absorbent cotton. Blow-off bottom, allowing a good disclosure of taste. You can buy the Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank in seven colors of rainbow, gold, blue, gunmetal, steel, matte black, and all-black.
Kit
Hellvape always kits their serviceable atomizers in a very decent way, and the new tank is no exception. In the bright orange box the vaper will find:
Dead Rabbit R Tank atomizer;
Bubble-glass 6.5 ml;
Five 0.2″ Omega nets; Mesh KA1;
Five strips of cotton;
Mesh and cotton wadding attachment;
Screwdriver;
Spare screws;
Replacement O-rings;
User’s Manual.
Appearance and design
It is unlikely that anyone would argue that the visiting card of Hellvape is their legendary Dead Rabbit drip. It is thanks to this drip that vapers not only found out about the company, but also many of them became its fans. The Dead Rabbit series is now not only a couple of drips, but also a few tanks, but the tanks are all quite traditional. In order to make themselves known once again, the company decided to release a non-standard tank Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank, which is definitely worth the attention of vapers.
Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank is made in a classic design with rather strict straight lines, without provocative decor. The dome (although it is not really a dome) is decorated with the traditional logo in the form of a rabbit head, and the top lid and the base of the tank are decorated with a ligature, which has primarily a practical purpose with its help to unwind the atomizer. We can not say that the tank is small, because its diameter is 25.5 mm, so it looks logical and not overhanging will not be on all mods.
The vaper in the Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank has two tank volume options with a 5 ml straight glass and a 6.5 ml bubble glass. The dripper uses a 810-type drip tip with two O-rings, which is easy to replace if you want.
Case, airflow and usage features
The most important and interesting feature of the Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank is its serviceability. If you look at the tank disassembled, in the center of the tank there is a cylinder with a slot that resembles a deck mounted vaporizer. It is this construction that is of particular interest because the heating element and the wool packing are installed in it.
In order to install the heating element mesh with legs, you need to wrap it around the complete fixture, and the legs should be at the bottom.
After that, absorbent cotton is placed on top of the bent mesh, and then such a sandwich is placed in a cylinder with a slot. The legs are fixed with two screws at the base of the base (they are located in the recess), and the remaining wool is simply cut with wire cutters. As a result, you can get a self-winding vaporizer.
The manufacturer claims that the set of ten nets and ten strips of cotton can replace ten standard vaporizers, but its cost will be 75% lower, which is a significant savings.
The Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank’s blowdown is bottom-adjustable by turning a ring at the base of the tank.
To fill the tank you simply remove the top cap and pour the liquid into the two holes.
Conclusions and impressions
The idea with the serviced vaporizers is not new, but only in the Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank this design was fully implemented. Some of the skeptically minded vapers may say that this type of heater installation is a dabble, but in any case the design is interesting and if we consider that you can really save a lot on consumables, and get a vertically placed grid that can please the taste, then Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank is sure to please vapers.
