In this review, I will tell you about a very minimalistic, but extremely pleasant set of a tiny box mod and an MTL tank with replaceable evaporators called THELEMA MINI 45W KIT from the Lost Vape company.
Lost Vape Company
Engineers from the Lost Vape team are trying to cover all possible areas of vaping. There are already entry-level and mid-level devices, powerful devices (one and two). I won’t even mention the devices on Evolv DNA. But sometimes you want something as simple, compact and reliable as possible. The THELEMA MINI 45W set is suitable just for this case.
THELEMA MINI 45W KIT is sold in a cardboard box with a recognizable design and does not reveal its features from a distance. australian vape shop sydney However, upon closer acquaintance, you notice the very modest size of the packaging itself. You are finally convinced of minimalism after reading the inscriptions on the packaging. There is 45 maximum watts, a built-in battery, and a tank with replaceable maintenance-free evaporators. But there is a 510 connector, a screen, a fast chip inside and the usual stylish design. On the front side there is a photo of the device in the current color and its name. On the sides are pictograms of features, and on the back are the delivery kit, warnings, links to social networks (there is no VK, but the group here is Lost Vape Official), the manufacturer’s address, a sales barcode, a sticker with an authentication code and a scattering of certificate icons.
Contents of delivery
Inside you can find the mod itself with a screwed-on tank in a small bag, instructions for the mod and tank in several languages – a warranty card, straight glass for the tank and a box with spare and additional parts.
Extras
The package will delight you with a very short USB-Type-C cord for charging, a set of silicone seals, a second (low) drip tip and two evaporators in individual blisters.
Constructive
Apart from any items, the THELEMA MINI 45W set seems to be the twin brother of Thelema SOLO, which is 100 watts and has a 21700 battery. Only here everything is physically smaller and more modest in characteristics. But the design is completely identical. The screen and buttons are in place, as well as the 510 connector, but the battery cannot be removed. The included tank can be in one of two options: either the UB LITLE TANK (as in this review) or the UB Lite Pod Tank. The difference between them is minimal, the main differences in design are that the first is more strict and classic.
There are eight color options available with any tank. From the most strict, painted carbon fiber, to bright and colorful ones with embossing on the lining “under the skin” and with various patterns. I got the most classic set of steel color, which best matches the design of third-party MTL devices.
UB LITLE TANK
To my taste, the UB LITLE TANK looks unsightly. Well, I don’t like pot-bellied glass; with a straight container it would be much prettier. Albeit with a ridiculous volume of two milliliters. Looking ahead, I’ll note that I couldn’t remove the glass; the risk of crushing the pot-bellied glass was too great, so I abandoned this idea. In any case, I’m not going to use this “atomizer” permanently, so I’ll just tell you about its design and put it on the shelf.
The kit includes two drip tips (more precisely, a mouthpiece, because you don’t need to bury anything through them). Whichever one you like best, put it on. I liked the tall one, with an anatomical shape and a smaller passage hole – 4.4 mm versus 5.4 mm for the low one.
If you don’t like either one, you can install any 510 format; fortunately the flat platform on top allows you to do this without problems.
Below we see the usual 510 connector, signs permitting sale in the European Union and prohibiting the disposal of the product with household waste. There is also the name of the tank itself and the manufacturing company. Yes, although this is not important at all, the positive pin practically does not protrude, so there is no point in screwing UB LITLE TANK onto mech mods with a hybrid connector.
The top and bottom of the tank are unscrewed. Under the top cover are hidden filling holes, which are closed by a massive silicone disk located in the inside of the cover. Under the bottom cover you can see a sliding positive pin, and on the other side there is a hole for installing a replaceable evaporator.
The central part is made of a single piece, a sort of “dumbbell”, over which the glass is placed and secured with two o-rings. It was this element that I could not disassemble; the silicone stuck to it. Yes, in general, I didn’t really want to.
It remains only to talk about the mechanism for adjusting the air intake. It is integrated into the bottom cover and allows you to leave both the maximum number of holes (on the left) and one extremely small one (on the right), just for a confident MTL tightening.
Evaporators UB LITE
You may already be familiar with the UB LITE vaporizers; they were also used for the UB LITE POD and URSA MINI POD. Currently they are available in six versions:
L1 – for free tightening and 20-30 Watts of power with a resistance of 0.4 Ohm
L3 – for free tightening and 12-15 Watts of power with a resistance of 0.8 Ohm
L5 – for tight tightening and 8-10 Watts of power with a resistance of 1.4 Ohms
L6 – for tight tightening and 10-15 Watts of power with a resistance of 1.0 Ohm
L7 – for free tightening and 32-40 Watts of power with a resistance of 0.3 Ohm
L8 – for tight tightening and 9-11 Watts of power with a resistance of 1.2 Ohms
I don’t know whether models L2 and L4 exist, but in the kit you are offered to try evaporators L7 and L8. Both, as seen above, are on the grid. One for tight, one for loose.
Mod THELEMA MINI 45W
The joy of the cute appearance of the battery pack is quickly shattered by the harsh reality. Upon closer inspection, the overall budgetary execution is visible. The body, although metal, is covered with some strange paint, which visually makes it look more like plastic. The screen is actually much smaller than the dark glass covering it, and it’s also monochrome. Even the carbon insert is just a sticker; it would be foolish to expect a real composite here.
On the other hand, the mod is weighty, fits well in the hand and doesn’t feel like a cheap product at all. The buttons are of very high quality, dense and do not rattle even with vigorous shaking.
On the bottom edge there are holes for the removal of gases, which is a plus for safety and is especially important for the built-in battery. The charging port is on the side, but at the bottom, so you can charge the device both “standing” and “lying down”.
The connector on the top is of the highest quality. Unpainted steel with a mounting diameter of 21 millimeters will definitely protect the case from accidental scratches. There is a spring-loaded brass pin inside, and it seems there is even leakage protection.
Interface and control
I’ll start with the screen. It is tiny and monochrome, but it will save battery power. Here you can simultaneously see the approximate battery charge, vaporizer resistance, current power, duration of the last puff and the total number of draws.
The device is turned on and off by quickly pressing the large button five times, let’s call it Fire. The dual rocker at the bottom changes the power in 0.1 Watt increments from a minimum of 5 to 20 and in 0.5 Watt increments from 20 to a maximum of 45 Watts.
Lock
That, in fact, is all that this device can do! No unnecessary settings or incomprehensible thermal controls, just basic functionality, which is what 99% of vapers need. Even locking the buttons after pressing Fire and “+” or resetting the puff counter after pressing Fire and “-” is not that much of a need, if you think about it.
Charging process
But charging is fine. They promised 1.5 Amperes – that’s about what it is, a little less towards the end of the process, which is normal. The total time of filling with energy from 0 to 100% is 70-80 minutes. You can vape while charging, the pasta works.
Total
You can compare the dimensions of the device with a 30 ml bottle, a lighter and an AA battery. You can immediately see how various evaporators will look on this battery pack. From left to right: Genesis Le Magister, Berserker MTL RDA, Tripod RTA, Kaiman RDA and complete UB LITLE TANK.
Now let us talk about my personal impressions. It seems to me that this is an excellent and inexpensive option for any MTL bundle for evaporators with a diameter of 22 mm. Yes, there are no settings as such, but by and large they are not needed, but the compact dimensions, steel case and nice appearance are available. I won’t even find fault with the non-replaceable battery, in this case it is completely justified.
