Vapers all over the world in the last couple of years are switching to sub-mods and POD systems en masse, because such devices are small in size, have good autonomy and can please with good taste. But this does not mean that all vapers are ready to give up the bright rich flavor and large clouds of vapor that can only be achieved by using sabom tanks. In order to please such vapers and once again declare itself, the company Smok decided to present quite an interesting and practical subomic tank Smok T-Air SUBTANK. We cannot say that the new tank is radically different from the previously released by the company, but it still has a few interesting points.
General Information
Smok T-Air SUBTANK is a tankomizer, designed to use interchangeable vaporizers of TA series, with top air intake, designed to get a good taste and bulk. The tank is made in a rather traditional format – somewhat similar to the TFV and similar atomizers released earlier. It looks neat and stylish, without excessive decor, with additional notches on the top lid and base, which are designed for easy maintenance of the device. The atomizer is designed for installation of TA vaporizers on the grid with 0.15 and 0.2 ohm resistance, thanks to which you can get a great taste and bulk. You can buy Smok T-Air SUBTANK in seven colors – black, steel, gun metal, gold, red, blue and rainbow.
Equipment
Although the tank belongs to the “unserviced”, but it is completed very decently, so the vaper, buying it, will get everything for trouble-free use of the tank. In the box the vaper can find:
– T-Air Subtank Atomizer (5ml);
– TA 0.2ohm Coil (pre-installed);
– TA 0.15ohm Dual Coil Vaporizer;
– Replacement Glass;
– Replacement Eringes;
– User Manual.
Appearance and Design
Smok is well known to vapers not only for its sub-mods, PODs and box mods, which steadily stay in the top sales. Not less known are subomizers, released by this manufacturer, for example TFV series – it is considered to be exemplary in its class for many years. Considering that the company has not presented such devices for quite a long time, it is quite logical that Smok decided to remind about them and at the same time to please the lovers of subom tanks. The company presented Smok T-Air SUBTANK – a tank that not only adopted the best moments from the previously released tanks, but also acquired a number of features that make it popular and in demand. The design of the tank can hardly be called innovative, because visually it is very similar to the previously released atomizers of TFV series. But at the same time the tank is quite neat and without excessive decorations, because the notches on the bottom and top of the device are designed for easy disassembly, not for decoration. The tank is not the smallest, as its seating diameter is 25 mm, but it expands to the top, which makes the tank diameter with a standard straight glass installed is 26.6 mm, and if you use a bubble-glass, the diameter will be 32 mm. Such moments are worth taking into account, because the tank should not only work well, but also look logically on the box-mods.
The vaper has two glass options at his disposal – a standard direct glass with a volume of 2 ml and a bubble glass with a volume of 5 ml. The volume is not the largest, but it will be enough for many vapers. Smok T-Air SUBTANK uses a standard 810-type drip tip, which you can replace with any other one from your collection, because the complete version is too simple.
Vaporizers, blowing and features of use
Special attention in Smok T-Air SUBTANK deserves vaporizers. It is worth remembering that the company has been on the vaping market for quite a long time, and in its range there are a lot of different vaporizers, so when choosing them specifically for this device you need to choose TA series. This line is new, designed specifically for this tank, represented by two variants – 0,15 and 0,2 Ohm. Both vaporizers are on mesh, and the 0,15 ohm variant is equipped with two mesh heating elements, so the vaper is guaranteed to get excellent flavor and fullness.
In order to prevent any leaks, the design of the tank uses five fingerlings, placed in all places where liquid can seep. Thanks to this design you can safely carry the device in your pocket and not be afraid that the liquid will stain your clothes.
Smok T-Air SUBTANK uses the top air intake, so the device can be considered “non-pouring”. You can adjust the blowing intensity by turning the ring at the top of the tank. It is important to remember that the tank is sabot, so no tight draw (or close to it) is out of the question. Filling the tank is very simple – it is enough to remove the top cap of the bayonet type, and one of the two large holes is filled with liquid, and 2 or 5 ml depends on the set glass.
Conclusions and Impressions
Smok T-Air SUBTANK is a traditional “non-service” tank, which is able to please with flavor and bulk. Naturally, in this tank the lines and principles of the most famous series from Smok – TFV are guessed, but at the same time the new tank uses a new blowing principle, it is more practical and easy to use.
