Eleaf iStick i80 kit is a starter kit that consists of Melo C atomizer designed for EC-2 series vaporizers and iStick i80 box mod with a powerful built-in battery. The box mod is made in a rather traditional form factor – a rectangular box with rounded corners and edges, with inserts of grooved plastic. The device will please vapers with good functionality, with variwatts up to 80 watts and a battery with good autonomy is available. The updated Melo C tank is a traditional “un-serviced” vaporizer, designed for the installation of already known vapers EC-2 series, made on the grid, and on the basis of a standard coil. The iStick i80 box mod
It is safe to say that Eleaf is one of the “mastodons” of the vape market because it began producing e-cigarettes back in the days when box mods and vaporizer tanks were a rarity. Although the company is not the undisputed leader in the vape market, but steadily holds its position by adapting to the changes, such as releasing POD-systems and sub-mods that are in demand among vapers. But at the same time the company does not forget about the vapers who prefer traditional tanks and box mods – new devices of this format are regularly released. Deciding once again to please their fans and remind themselves of them, Eleaf presented a new starter kit iStick i80 kit, which will certainly interest many vapers.
The design of the Eleaf iStick i80 box mod is not particularly original, as similar devices have been produced by this company more than once. The device is made as a small rectangular box with rounded corners and edges, so it sits well in the hand. An additional plus to the ergonomics is the presence of plastic side panels with notches, thanks to which the device will not slip. The box mod is small enough – 134,5*36*29 (together with the tank). The landing pad is designed for atomizers up to 26 mm in diameter.
Eleaf iStick i80 is powered by a built-in battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh – for such a small device is quite a good indicator. The battery is charged using the USB Type-C connector located under the control buttons, 2A current, so the full charging time will be about an hour and a half.
Eleaf iStick i80 Mod works under the control of proprietary chipset, thanks to which you can get not only the power up to 80 watts, but also a good functionality – smart VW, Bypass, TCR, TC. A positive point is the presence of a fairly large “Fire” button. The device is equipped with a small monochrome display, where you can find a standard set of information about the device – battery level, voltage, coil resistance, number of puffs and power.
MELO C Tank Atomizer
The Melo series tanks have been used by Eleaf in their devices many times, so it is not surprising that the new starter kit is complete with the new Melo C tank. It is a standard un-serviced tank with 25 mm seat diameter and fixed drip tip.
The MELO C Tank atomizer is designed to use EC2 series vaporizers, the vaper can pick up the optimal resistance and heating element material for him. There are two vaporizers in the kit – 0,3 and 0,5 Ohm, thanks to which you can get a decent taste.
Adjustment of blowing is standard – with the ring at the base of the tank.
To refill the MELO C Tank you need to slide straight the top lid and pour 5 ml of liquid into the tank.
Conclusions and impressions
We can not say that Eleaf iStick i80 kit is a breakthrough in vaping world, rather it is just a new device which can successfully replace box-mods and tanks already used by vapers. There will be no special claims to the device, as it is designed with the basic needs of vapers in mind, and at the same time it is easy to use, autonomous and practical.
