Eleaf iStick Power Mono kit is a starter kit consisting of an iStick Power Mono box mod with a powerful built-in battery and an atomizer in GTL Pod Tank format designed for the use of vaporizers with the same name. The box mod is made in the traditional for this manufacturer manner – small, neat, with rounded corners and edges, with eco leather insert, so it has excellent ergonomics. An important feature of the device is a powerful battery that can please with its autonomy and performance. The starter kit is completed by GTL sub-tank, designed for using GTL vaporizers with 0,4/0,8/1,2 ohm resistance. It is unlikely that any of the vapers will argue about the fact that the company Eleaf refers to the “mastodons” vape market, as it has been delighting customers with their devices for more than a year. Naturally, in the work of the company there were both ups and downs, but still she “stays afloat”, adapting to modern conditions, releasing devices that if it does not become an absolute hit of sales, but it always finds its fans. Deciding once again to fulfill the order of vapers who prefer traditional box mods, the company presented a rather interesting and at the same time practical starter kit Eleaf iStick Power Mono kit.
Eleaf iStick Power Mono box mod cannot be called innovative by design, as similar devices have already been released a lot. Such a decision is quite logical and justified, as the design is proven and already loved by vapers. In any case, Eleaf iStick Power Mono is made as a small rectangle with rounded corners and edges, so the device sits perfectly in your hand. Naturally, the eco-leather inserts are also used, which are pleasant to the touch. The box mod is not the smallest – 85,8*39,5*32 mm, and the landing pad for the atomizer is designed for installation of tanks and droppers with a diameter of up to 26 mm.
One of the features of the box mod is a 3500 mAh battery, and in devices of this format such capacities have not been seen for quite a long time. The battery is charged using the USB Type-C connector, located under the control buttons, with a current of 2A. We can’t say that iStick Power Mono uses any special or outstanding chipset, so the vaper will get quite standard functionality – Power, TC (NI200, SS, TI), TCR, BYPASS. The maximum power of the device is 80 watts. The box mod is equipped with a small monochrome display, as well as neat, barely protruding control buttons.
GTL Pod Tank Atomizer
GTL Pod Tank atomizer is already known to vapers by the devices released earlier. It is a little unclear why the company did not use new tanks, which at the moment are not so little, but it is not really possible to argue with their decision. The tank is made in a sub-tank format, the base of which has a diameter of 26 mm, and the tank in it is held by means of strong magnets. This tank is designed for installation of GTL series interchangeable vaporizers, and the manufacturer offers the so-called “black” series. At the moment there are three variants of vaporizers in the series – 0,4/0,8/1,2 Ohm, and all of them are on the grid. The airflow is adjusted by turning the cartridge in the base, and you can open one large hole or several small ones. To refill the cartridge, remove it from the base, flip it over, open the cap on the bottom end of the device and fill with 4.5 ml.
Conclusions and impressions
We can not say that Eleaf iStick Power Mono kit cardinally differs from the devices of this format, released earlier by this manufacturer, although it still has a number of interesting features. Among the positive points we can highlight the excellent autonomy, functionality and good flavor transfer.
