Remember, not long ago, when seeing an electronic mod, a question was heard that sounded like a joke: “Is this an electronic hookah?” Congratulations, you’ve had enough. Smoant went and released a real vape hookah Campbel Kit.
When in the previous review I wrote about the lack of “new” in the vaping industry, I did not mean that vaping needed this. Namely: connecting a cooling system and a filter with liquid to the atomizer. For a detailed explanation of the principle of operation of the hookah, I will refer the reader to Google and other resources, because our site is not about this at all, and we are against smoking in any form, whether cigarettes or through a meter-high structure. We are more interested in the flask, which is usually located at the bottom of the hookah and is intended for water or other liquids (milk, juice, alcoholic or soft drinks, etc.). The liquid in this flask performs two functions at once: filtering and cooling, and if it is not just water, then it also enriches tobacco smoke with its aroma. The Smoant company decided to please fans of this type of nicotine consumption and presented its new Campbel Kit to the public. Moreover, it works not on tobacco, but on our favorite liquids, i.e. with the usual vaper atomizer. vapes australia online Two natural questions arise here: “how?” and “why?” Most of the text is devoted to clarifying the first question, the results and conclusions are devoted to the second. I must warn you right away that I cannot boast of great knowledge and rich experience in smoking hookahs, and the sight of a bubbling plastic bottle does not evoke any emotions in me at all. Therefore, I fully admit that the subject of today’s review will seem closer/clearer/native to someone, but I will consider the device as an ordinary vaper. Although I have seen many devices, I encountered such a miracle for the first time. Smoant Campbel Kit Packaging
A large dark blue box with a texture reminiscent of pressed leather or a book cover is decorated with gold foil inscriptions. And, apparently, the same Scottish town of Campbeltown, which gave the name to the kit. On the back side, the important characteristics of the device, the package contents and warnings are listed; there was also room for a standard sticker with an originality check under a scratch-off layer. I got the device with Sample Test Only seals, but for some reason they were glued over the polyethylene film. The color of the device inside reflects a small circle on the front, in my case it was Dark Blue.

A set of documentation for the Smoant Campbel Kit
There was nothing interesting in the envelope, there was only an illustrated bilingual instruction (in Chinese and English), a quality control card, a warranty card, a warning about the batteries used and something about the choice of liquid and soft drinks.
Appearance of the Smoant Campbel Kit
The device looks at least unusual, especially its size inspires respect: when assembled, the kit did not fit into my caliper, the total height of this whole thing was about 19 cm (even Ivleeva will be pleased). The entire surface is made of metal with a brushed texture, but most likely covered with varnish, because the device is smooth to the touch. The body quickly becomes covered with dust and stains, on metal they are barely noticeable, on a plastic insert they are much more obvious. Plus, the shades of the tank and the mod in the photo do not match slightly, but in real life this is not noticeable.
The manufacturer produces three versions of its setup, and the box and tank are completely painted in the corresponding color: ash, blue and black. I got a nice “sapphire blue”.

Impressions and conclusions
The main thing is that this whole thing works. And, apparently, as it should, because nothing flows out from anywhere, and it produces steam when you press Fire. For the first “experience”, I decided to use a 50/50 base without flavors with 6 mg/ml nicotine, which I vape on a cigarette smoker. As a drink, I took the liquid standing nearby, the name of which ends in “cola”. The tastes of both are very familiar to me. In the vapor, all the aromas of inexpensive Xian nicotine and a weak hint of cola were perfectly felt, but it clearly does not reach the state of cola-flavored juice. At the same time, the vapor became significantly cooler and thinner, which is not surprising at all. I changed the drink to regular tap water and perfectly felt all the aromas of the chlorinated “mix” from the tap. In general, I do not recommend repeating. With purified drinking water, the vapor simply became moist and without foreign tastes. If you compare the sensations with an empty filter and a filled one, then nicotine irritates the throat noticeably less (the TH decreases), the amount of vapor decreases and it becomes less dry. I tried to vape a flavored liquid, for the experiment I took Cap’n Juice Ice Tai. Water and a complex filter system, naturally, “ate” a significant part of the flavors, the taste became weaker. But after a while, the flavors began to be given off by the liquid soaked in them. It should be added that when you puff, this whole thing gurgles loudly, which will irritate any user of a tankomizer. In fact, all the “cool stories” of the manufacturer about Innovative technology, which can be seen on the website and in advertising brochures, are shattered by the harsh reality of the long-standing existence of a couple of kits with a similar principle (who is interested, I will write their name in the comments). True, with a much simpler design. Filling the filter with Smoant Campbel KitI think we have thoroughly sorted out the question “how”. Here we will try to answer the second question “why”. Moreover: a) the liquid for vaping does not contain resins and the entire periodic table of grandfather Mendeleyev, like burning/smoldering/evaporating juice (underline as appropriate) tobacco, and does not require filtration; b) the temperature of the vapor in the atomizer can be easily adjusted by simply changing the power on the battery pack or adjusting the blowing (and such a thing as temperature control has long existed); c) in terms of saturation, only another liquid can compete with the amount of flavors that are already in the liquid. Yes, the taste of the vapor, passing through the liquid in the filter, acquires its aroma, but loses its own, and a meager amount of drink with a volume of 3 ml quickly loses its taste, and the drink itself will have to be changed almost more often than refilling a small atomizer. At the same time, the vapor becomes wet and liquid, which is personally alien to me. Now if the guys from Smoant had come up with some kind of clever thing that could be attached via a 510 or 810 drip tip to any atomizer, and even a real hose with a mouthpiece, then things would have gone more fun. In general, I think that the question “why the hell?” remains open. The device is interesting in the sense of “look what happens”, but nothing more. But, again, I repeat, maybe I just don’t fully understand something, and this whole design has another easily explainable meaning that true connoisseurs of hookahs will be able to explain.
